Players sit in a circle. One person in the middle has a cardboard tube or rolled up newspaper. Players go around the circle and choose an animal name. Play begins when someone says their animal name, “wants,” and then someone else's animal name. For example, “donkey wants rabbit.” The person in the middle has to find the rabbit and whack him/her on the knees before rabbit can call out a new target (“rabbit wants snake”). Play continues until the person in the middle whacks an animal before that animal calls out a new target. That person then goes in the middle and new names are chosen.
