Elbow manners chant

Elbow manners chant

Description

This is a great chant if you are trying to teach manners in the dinning hall. Only counselors can start the chant but campers can point others out to a counselor (otherwise it gets out of control).
While eating, if you notice that a camper has their elbows on the table you start this chant using their name. I'm going to use Jenny as an example. The camper that has been pointed out must do as the chant says.

"Jenny, Jenny strong and able
Get your elbows off the table
This is not a horses stable
But a fine dinning table

Round the table you must go, you must go, you must go
Round the table you must go, you must go, you must go
You were naughty
Back around the other way, other way, other way
Back around the other way, other way, other way
You were naughty"

Requirements

Only counselors may start the chant and it is up to them to start it if they want to.

Objective

This will get the kids thinking about their manners and it is lots of fun to. Enjoy!
