Gatorball

Gatorball

Description

This game is like a mixture of soccer and 2-hand football. First off two teams must be organized. Once that is arranged whoever gets ball first gets the ball kicked off to them by the other team. There are two means of transportation of the ball to the goal. One, the camper can pick up the ball in which case if they are 2-hand tagged they must give the ball to the other team. At this point the person who has the ball can't move, can't score, and can't be tagged by the other team until it is thrown. Second, it can be dribbled like a soccer ball. If they do this they can not be tagged. Another rule comes into play...If someone drops the ball, then dribbles, and picks it up it is called double dribble and at that point the other team gets the ball. Play to a certain amount of points, and be prepared for your kids to be very tired. At our camp we dont use boundaries so you need a good size field with two goals.

Requirements

A field and two goals.

Objective

Get as many goals as you can.
